  1. Right, absolutely ridiculous problem.. Got back into the car at the petrol station and the key would only insert into position one. Positions two and three are mechanically locked out and the key will not budge more than the first position. So, car has been recovered to my driveway by dragging it on and off the recovery truck (car was stuck in park) which seemed really bad. Anyway, I've tried grease, spray lube to no avail. Obviously there has been a mechanical failure with the tumblers or similar. Has anyone ever had this and sorted it out? Terrible timing.
  2. Hi chaps, I'm swapping to XC90 336mm fronts and XC90 rear brakes within the month. So my existing 320mm setup will be up for grabs (I'll throw in the standard rear callipers too if the buyer wants them). This is for the callipers and carriers as removed, the discs have minimal life left and will go for scrap. Removed from a 2.4T5 with 79k on the clock, very good condition. Will be available in around 4 weeks. £150 posted, or welcome to collect as they're rather heavy!
  3. Pair of mint condition 2006-8 S60, 2008-12 XC90 facelift sport buttons with the silver trim. Straight swap into all steering wheels with these buttons from earlier cars, so all P2 S60, and V70R steering wheels aswell. Nice easy upgrade. Standard controls with cruise, no phone. £35 posted
  4. Hi chaps, Got a couple more bits up for grabs. Mint condition XC90 4 spoke steering wheel in black leather, no airbag or buttons, but the horn/internals are there. Completely mint condition from a 2011 car, as new. £20 2006 S60 airbag, black 3 spoke. Fits all S60s and some XC90s. Mint £15.00 Plus postage or free collection.
  5. Has anyone had their steering wheel re trimmed on here? I've acquired a knackered 2008 S60 sport wheel, but Royal steering wheels have refused to do it because 'It's too complicated', fair enough. Just wondering if anyone on here knows any other companies that are good. (or has a wheel that isn't knackered) lol
  6. Bump
  7. I've decided to let go of my set of 18" genuine BBS Nebulas. Bought them a year ago after hunting for over a year for a good set to have refurbished, and all they've done is sit in the garage (in the warm and dry). No tyres, and in need of a cosmetic refurb. Minor kerbing but the main issue is flaking paint around the edges and on the barrels, a trip to TWS the wheel specialist or similar will make them better than new and this was my plan, but I need the money for other things now so they've got to go. Collection preferred from Derbyshire, but PM me if you're interested. £350
  8. They work, worth every penny. Secondhand will usually be knackered. New they're £190 per lamp, and £65 per indicator. I may have a friend with a full used set in decent condition..
  9. Has anyone got a steering wheel from a 2007-8 S60 sport? Black, three spoke with the little silver inlay in the bottom. Preferably with airbag and must have satnav controls. Found on higher spec 2007-10 XC90s I think too, but I can't currently find one breaking. After a bit of poking around on the net I've found they're (99% sure) interchangeable with my '06 V70 which has the almost identical wheel to a 2005 volvo/scania bus. lol want rid of it for something nicer! Never liked the standard V70 steering wheels. Also after the two Black (not dark grey) steering column cover panels for S60/V70 if anyone has those. And a pair of S60/V70R interior front door handles. Not sure about colour option on those tbh just let me know what you've got
  10. Rare as hell. New they're around £400 i think
  11. Ah yeah! These aren't in too bad condition but still refurb fodder.
  12. Thanks, that seems to be the exact problem. I'll try that first as it'll cost me nothing!
  13. Just a heads up for anyone who may need bits and can't get them from the usual sources, I've been using a place near me for the past 6 months or so who solely break Volvos and Saabs. They're called Fellside cars, in Ilkeston Derbyshire. Popped over today and got everything I wanted for good money, great value. Great guys, know their stuff and really helpful. Obviously collection is great if you're local and you can have a nosey around at stock.. but they'll post worldwide too. Thought it's worth a mention as it'll definitely help folks! Today he had a 56 T5 manual V70, s80, v50 s40 s80..good selection. He also buys cars to break. Admin feel free to move if this is in the wrong place..
  14. Stock is stripped really quickly, just got a full set of XC90 T6 brakes for my p2.. 336mm fronts.
  15. Fellside cars 01159 440 019
  16. Bit of a long shot but it's the sort of thing that someone may have lying around.. After the polystyrene 'absorber' for a 2005-7 V70 rear bumper, part number 8693371. Must be mint and not cracked at all, mine has a small crack on one corner and it's enough to stop the bumper seating properly. New they're £120 or something stupid.. so thought I'd ask here first.
  17. Got one, sorted.
  18. 2005 facelift V70 SE rear bumper, complete. With chrome trims etc. Decent undamaged condition, but will require a respray to be mint. No previous damage. Silver 426 (I think) and no park assist fitted. Towing eye cover included, all as removed from the car but no longer required as I bought an R bumper. £50 collected from Derby, message me if you're interested.
  19. This is off a different car, original type
  20. Genuine C70 crystal indicator unit, complete and undamaged. About a year old, used but good. Upgrade for phase one V70/S70. £40 plus post, or free collection from Derby
  21. Used a 3" Me7 on mine, but thats cheating lol
  22. Right, 2006 V70 2.4T5 K24 with 70k on the clock MTE stage 2. The turbo has suddenly started whining really loudly (at least I think it's the turbo) but I'm 90% sure it is now. Goes with revs, and is load sensitive. We took the intake pipe off and theres no play in the shaft whatsoever.. which isn't what I was expecting. The breather system looks oily and has possibly blown off/split, so I've ordered another one just incase it's something to do with that. The cars booked in with Tim on monday so hopefully that'll get to the bottom of it, but I've been thinking if it's a dry bearing (no idea what causes that) then I should probably stop using the car in the meantime. It had an oil change last week, but the car still runs as normal.. I just dare not floor it because it sounds so bad. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!
