Over the last couple of days I have found the forum to be very slow, any ideas? I don't have any issue or problems browsing or on any other forums

I'd already noted it and passed it on - any improvement now?

dunno about speed ben but "new content" has disappeared a few minutes ago and when it was working the announcements section wouldn't come up under "new content". or is just me?

only cos i'm going through each individual sub forum have i noticed the "arise sir" thread.

I don't think News or Website design features under the "new content" section anyway.

It's all sorted now, as I believe the entire server has been rebooted.

thanks Steve - you'll be pleased to know that absolutely nothing has changed since your last post so I've just been informed.

Is it just me or is the forum running really slow again.  Its taking 15+ seconds to load anything up .

Its the same on my ipod touch wifi and with the pc which is hardwired to the router.  Other sites aren't affected so its not my equipment :P.

Still stupidly slow.  Someone fix it please - it's doing my head in.

Its like watching Russ doing 1/4 mile runs.  Once you've got there and watching the run its fine but then waiting while he swaps a gearbox for another run is fooking boring. (I thought that was a useful analogy anyway)

It's always been slow for me ever since the upgrade to the new server ~6 months ago ? No other sites are slow. So I suggest it's the t5d5 server of the route I have to take to access it.

It was fine for me after the upgrade.  Its only slowed down for me in the past week or so - just everything taking 15-20 seconds to load is sooooo annoying.

Saying that - its fine today on the work pc (don't tell my boss :whistling:) so I shall check it out again when I get home.

This is wierd, and very annoying.  It is absolutely fine at work.  However at home it is almost physically painful to watch.  Every page takes 20 seconds to load and it takes ages to send PM's.

Every other site/forum at home is fine, no other problems.  It is the same on all the computers in the house as well as on my ipod touch via wifi.

I've tried clearing the cookies (both by using the button on the forum and manually using windows) to no avail.  Anyone got any ideas?

I don't know what anybody did but it seems to be a LOT better now.  (although I can no longer go make a cup of coffee while a page loads which is something I'll just have to learn to live with).

Thank you.  :D :D :D
