So, I'v decided what look I'm going for with the bonnet

I'v cut about an inch off the hight and got rid of the front bit, I may go lower yet.

im eager to see how this turns out claymore

It might be crap, but it will be easy to put back to standard bar the front mount, so if it doesn't work as planed ther's nothing lost.

Well as prommised, a vid of the first start, unfortunately I'v run out of hose clips so I can't rev the engine (it just blowes the boost pipe off as soon as i close the throttle)

still to do, fit the oil cooler (I'v just bypassed it for now) modify bottom hose and then tidy up. then comes the slow process of mapping it using a dastek unichip.

I guess on the upside of all this is that whilst you keep adding jubilee clips and shit to the car its ultimate value when you weigh it in increases proportionate to the weight of shite added

Just kidding ;) hope it all goes well!!!

the back slot in the bonnet will be to let hot air out.

The scoop is partitiond the front draws cold air onto the tmic, the back half lets out hot air (I may have to make a bigger hole in the back)

Mapping hasn't been done yet, I'm waiting for Tim to get back (he's got a wiring diagram for the dastek) but it's perfectly drivable, and yes I was planing to come down to watch.

so whats she like below 2000rpm?

I suppose it feels like having a manual boost controler on, just strong up to the red line. although I'm keeping the boost down, the bum dyno tells me its better than it was with 16psi without the SC, but that could just be because I haven't driven it for a couple of months.

Who with? What did you declare the BHP as? Think my insurance would have a fit if I fitted a supercharger.

Adrian flux, they didn't ask about BHP, so I declared the supercharger, nitrous, brakes, suspension. the company don't take ncb into consideration, and don't give ncb. and the excess was a whopping £750, (but i was expecting to pay more than that anyway)
