My first Volvo patrol car was N504 GFC which was an ex demo which had done the rounds and was eventually bought by South Wales. That was taken back soon after for the brake upgrade. It was probably the quickest of the Volvos that I drove.
Where was your car based?

does that mean we can get cheaper insurance on p2's onwards seeing as we have anti "glass in face" front windows and lower than S spec interiors

You'll get the lot - enc a copy of your V5 makes life slightly easier in some ways if you've only just bought it.
