the running costs were astronomical from what I heard. Filling up twice a shift was not good apparently.

A very easy thing to do in the T5 buddy, depending on how busy you are :)

once had phone call from Fleet manager to confirm it did infact require refuelling after 12 hours and the off going shift having brimmed it for handover!! :D

I got pulled by an early 90s (I want to say it was a J-plate, so pre-facelift) Cavalier only a handful of years ago in South Devon...unmarked, of course. Veeeery sneaky.
I wasn't doing anything wrong, for the record...just a random spot-check to see if I had had a few drinks, as it was pub chucking out time.

cheers

James

I've seen quite a few sneaky unmarked plod cars over the years.

Coventry had an ITR in white, no markings just the grill and visor lights, It would regularly be pulling over some poor chap who'd just tried to race it.

I see a Mk5 R32 in blue on the M40 quite a lot, and on the A1 Nr. Peterborough I've seen a dull looking Octavia that according to a local friend is fitted with an R36 engine.
