Aha, did that 2 years ago.
One week stay in Venosc (Chalet Michelle) just down the road from Bourg. Alpe d'Huez,. Col du Galibier, Col d'Ornon, Col de Sarenne, Les Duez Alpes, etc.
Week two in Morzine. Col de la Joux Verte, Avoriaz and a few others.
Yes I was knackered at the end of it.

Although I did have a front tyre blow out at the bottom of Alpe d'Huez after a rather quick descent . "There by the grace of God go I". The rim was so hot you couldn't touch it
Had a second one but in the back wheel in the second week. I reckon something or someone was telling me to slow down
Hopefully this time no issues but it'll help me get fit for the National Hill Climb Championships later in the year on the Cat & Fiddle climb - my kind of climb

Don't let your age define you. It's a number, that's all.
Nasty D5 dieseasel with few twiddly bits from TWR, MTE, IPD and Eibach but 600 miles to a tank ain't to be sniffed at :-)

Ti or Mg brakes? Quite a bit of CNC work going on there.
Shame the weather's so crap at the moment to ride such a machine.
Winter training bike + small saddlebag with spares, etc + me carrying a few extra kilos of "winter warmer" and I still nearly got blown off by the wind this morning

After I took the photographs this bike went straight back on the turbo, where it will stay until the weather changes for the better- I've put ~350 miles on my Cyclo-cross bike since Christmas, which takes poor weather in its stride.

A mighty fine thread hijack. I like your style!
I was out on the trails this morning in the piss poor weather on the zesty. Knobbly tyres, lights, no sight of lycra or tarmac...

Diseasel haters, go swivel!

Seen here with slicks on (I did the Rapha Festive 500, which was 500 Km between the 23rd and the 30th of December on this bike, as pictured):

Thought you might like it. Its not the brightest of blinkies but it is a very nice piece of kit. Very sleek and hides away under the saddle. Just a thought.

I still have my pre-historic Specialized Stump Jumper from 1984,
I dread to think how heavy that is.

Had to be done! Riding a bike is only fun if you come back covered in mud. (And yes I eneded sat in all that mud.)

And a much more appealing route to follow than some boring black tarmac, I'll think you'll agree.

If so how do you find the change ?
I changed from Campag to Dura ace and I was pleasantly surprised how slick the change is with the shimano offering !
Brakes look wicked btw a devil to clean tho ?
I managed 30 minutes on the road today after a near 2 year lay off and spinal surgery was lovely to get back out . No back pain which is a bonus so things can only get better :-)
