The insurance for the T5 we had our eye on was twice what it cost! Over £2500

Even with all my modifications, age and location, mine only comes to 600 ish quid.

To be fair, I probably could have done. We had our eye on two cars, the one we bought or the T5. They were both rather evenly matched mileage and condition wise but from what I could see the T5 had three issues:

1: it was black (I am sick of trying to keep dark cars clean and scratch free) with a very pale cream leather interior (no good with kids and dog)
2. it was automatic
3. it was in Bristol

The 2.4T was half the insurance of the T5, was local to us and not much slower. Oh and manual.

Just a thought.  You might want to blank out your plates,  Some don't worry about it but it has been proven in some cases of cloning.
