Well i work for equity and we do not issue ncb's its the brokers clifton morely. all equity in effect are is a claims dept and underwriters. All policies are done through brokers so all schedules, paper work, proof of ncb is done via broker be it bill, swinton, coversure etc. It may be worth asking bill or richard what the issue is regarding getting the proof out to you, it may be something like a claim was made on the policy that cant be closed off or underwriters have a back log. Either way i can say it can be sorted out with a phone call from bill to our underwriters to confirm it all.

ive just taken a policy with flux via equity red star and they are happy to accept my renewal letter from my previous ins company and when CM insured me on the coupe and asked to show them proof of my NCB on the other car i sent them the old renewal letter and it was fine

i would guess even the online ones still post out a renewal letter can you not use that

I have phoned them, twice, and this is what I've been told. There are no claims either. I just wish I could get a straight answer as everyone is saying something different!

Tingy - I don't have an online only policy for the Volvo, only the Focus, was just using it as an example. It was the one they sent me through the post that they would not accept. So... I've had to go through all this to try to get it sorted. It's going to take a few days for Adrian Flux to send me the proof of no claims, then a further few days for me to get it to Clifton Morley, when all this could be resolved in two minutes by e-mail.

It didn't have the renewal date, and it wasn't on headed paper - Only the front page did, which didn't have the no claims bonus on it. Ho Hum :P

AHHHH now flux are a different ball game all together, they are a pain in the ass to deal with.

Im not too sure why Clifton morely cant ring the underwriters though as it just brokers your changing and not insurers because if so, the policy hasnt changed im assuming just the brokers.

Ah bugger. If thats the case then im 99% sure its markerstudy issue their own ncb's. I can see what your saying about not accepting copies or email ncb but the sad fact of it is we are getting increasing numbers of fraudulent documents come in where people change them on photoshop so sadly its the minority spoiling it for the majority. Once bitten twice shy!

One point to consider, it's becoming a bit of a nuisance getting my proof of no claims across, though this seems to be the fault of Equity Red Star rather than Clifton Morley. I've been told only original proof of no claims documents, on headed paper with all the details will be accepted, no copies, nor e-mails of the documents in PDF format. Unfortunately, I was only made aware of this after sending a copy initially, and then the original which wasn't on headed paper.

Hmm, I received a two page letter from AF when my policy lapsed. Both were headed paper so I just scanned to pdf and emailed down to Bill. No comeback (yet Posted Image  )

Don't let your age define you. It's a number, that's all.

Nasty D5 dieseasel with few twiddly bits from TWR, MTE, IPD and Eibach but 600 miles to a tank ain't to be sniffed at :-)

Another four years and CM might be able to help me, maybe.

Now that's interesting. Let me know if they're accepted Robbie, if they are I'll ask what makes yours different to mine!
