Hello all!

New guy here from the other side of the pond - just checking out this forum to see how it is!

I picked up my 855 T5 from a kid not too far from me, it had a blown transmission and some electrical problems. I swapped the gearbox and found the source of the electrical issues - he simply forgot to tighten the grounds to the block when he swapped that engine and driveline in! lol!

So...I'm on a 130k mile longblock and a ???k mile automatic transmission. While I had the engine and driveline out, I fitted a T3/T4E .63 trim turbo, internally gated. The car also has a ported R manifold, 3" catless turbo-back, 440cc injectors, cone intake, '93 N/A cams and throttle body with a flat 960 throttle plate, and will have an ARD Black custom tune in the next few days (mainly for timing advance, fueling is OK on the stock tune actually). At 1.1 bar boost, the car pulls on the usual EVO, STI, and E46 M3. It's a hoot!

I'll post a pic tomorrow if I get the chance. Looking forward to seeing some of the UK cars!

Welcome mate.
Autobox cooler might be a good idea as that sounds like it making some good torque.

I actually just bypassed the radiator's oil cooler and mounted a standalone oil cooler (off a Mitsu Starion) behind the grill. I will do the trans cooler next, but I wanted to install a temp gauge first as I'd like to see first-hand the difference in trans fluid temperature. It would be nice to know how how it gets with the stock setup before changing it!

Thanks for the comments. I will wash her this week, she is FILTHY!

...the turbo is 2.5" out into the 3" DP and exhaust. I had a V-Band clamp on there before, but those are nearly impossible to get a good seal and I was tired of the leak. Went to a standard 2-bolt flange with a metal gasket. Pic is from under the car looking up.
