I must say I'm really enjoying the car. It's everything I thought it was going to be and doesn't disappoint in any way. Another one of those cars that you just don't mind getting into early in a morning or late and night and driving, even if you've got a long way to go. Loving it.

Nothing as such, it's a nice enough unit in all ways, not class leading anymore but the whole car is too different to be a boring German Mondeo. I think the assumption must have been that as it's a TI spec, it must have been one of the beefy petrol units.

Very nice  B) and in the best colour too!!!

If it was mine I would change the grill for a black meshed version and colour code the handles and wing mirrors :)

IMO chrome looks very 'chav', nothing wrong with black mesh if the rest of the grille is of good quality.

The 'lesser' models have black handles and mirrors, which on a black car would appear to be colour coded. On the TI, the handles are chromed to match the front side repeaters and the mirrors are aluminium.

Don't let your age define you. It's a number, that's all.

Nasty D5 dieseasel with few twiddly bits from TWR, MTE, IPD and Eibach but 600 miles to a tank ain't to be sniffed at :-)

Very, very nice, really glad you ended up with one of these and as you say its too unique to be as boring as the mundane crap on the roads such as Vectras, Mondeos abd BMWs.  IMO, whilst the line are simple, its all VERY elegant at the same time.  Interior has more going on to make it a nice place to be and also look around.

I may ask for a passenger ride after I move to London and *if I feel that its worth using the C70 on weekends and getting a diesel runner to handle the daily grind of London rat-race.

Lovely! I remember being shown a clean pair of heels by one of those in my S70 (2.5 20v). I had a recent encounter with one of the ~210bhp 2.4 5-pots, and I was barely reeling it in with the V70R. Damn sight quicker than the D5!

cheers

James
