You're not giving much info. Perhaps a bit more about what happened and what sort of advice you need would prompt somebody with the correct knowledge to reply.

Dont want to say too much in public but  I really need to remove a 17 year old from my home. This person poses a big threat to my young children, after turning to plod for help along with social services, have been told theres nothing they can do.So far my house is a war zone with broken windows and verbal threats of physical violance toward my kids, the 17yr old is my son also.I need to know if theres anything we can do to convince plod to remove, one females officers words "you think we are a hotel service?"

ok fist off it seams the attending officers declined to deal with the issue of domestic violence !!!! an actual assult need not take place as long as you were in fear of one taking place , as for damage that could have been cause for arrest , being 17 it will show on his criminal record to !!!! so think about this and try to resolve before this happens
yer best option is just to throw him out , change locks if he then gains entry call police and insist action taken for the forced entry , if person in house at time worth pointing out the offence violence to secure entry !!!!!! not saying response officers are lazy but there is not enough or the time at some points to consider all options :-(

Weel firstly you need to think do you want to prosecute him. Regardless if he is your son or not, if he is posing that much of a risk to the rest of your family, you need to think about putting them first.

If you are willing to go ahead with the prosecution, then call the police to have him removed. If this fails and social services will not remove him and put him into care, you can remove him yourself using reasonable force as long as it does not cause any injury. If you do remove him and he does call the police on you, this is something you will have to solve with them, record when you spoke to them and what reply they gave and tell them you have done it to protect not only your family but also your home and then its up to them if they prosecute or not.

Change all the locks and if he causes further damage, make a further report to the police.

I cant believe though they wont do anything based on threats as it could be too late if he carries this threat out.

If you dont want the police involved, are there any family members willing to take him in?

Stop pissing about and son or not have him prosecuted for criminal damage, threats to harm or ABH. Whilst in court ask for an injunction against him being within 50 metre or whatever yards of the property on the grounds of actual physical harm to yourself or others.
Either take actual yourself or stop bleating about it. Sorry to be blunt but that's the way it is. Give the police the ammo use.

Mo. mate... What the fuck are you doing?

You need to take a step back and have a bit of a word with yourself. Really!

I know it hasn't been easy, and there have been serious problems in the past but who the hell let it get to this?

At the end of the day the buck stops with you. You were the one entrusted with programming the little bugger right. Looks like it's gone horribly wrong.

The shit head's running riot now because lines weren't drawn when they should have been, kids are like that, they push and push till they get burned, if they don't get burned they keep pushing. Let it go too far and you know what happens. That's why half a generation are now running about murdering each other and terrorising society.

Now he's 17 you got to approach it differently, you need to gain his respect. however you do that is up to you. (kick the crap out of him, or go crawling on hands and knees - whatever!) As long as you've got a battle brewing you'll continue to have conflict. You need to stop pissing about with Police and Social services. They don't give a fuck and they will all be of the opinion that this is your problem. He's 17 so in many ways he's on his own now. You both live in the same house, and it's both your homes, any "issues" and you need to sort them out yourselves.

Police are not part of our family, school, or work lives, and they should not be. Their introduction into these areas over the last 20 years is a huge part of our social rot. Principally because they are meddling in affairs that they are not supposed to, or equipped to. The justice system is not set up to punish children, it has no means to do so. The Police and social services have been responsible for the "pulling back" of effective means of parent / teacher control without having any measures to replace the methods they have chased off. For thousands of years society has been in full control of its offspring. in the last 20 years unwarranted official meddling has produced the worse brought up generation of people this island has ever seen.

One thing I do know is that at 17 I was living alone in London, holding down a great job and trying to make something of myself. If anybody even tried to talk to me like a kid they'd get short shrift. You aint going to be able to play the "silly little boy" card with him. You need to cut some sort of agreement, but it absolutely has to be on mutual terms. In order to get there you will have to manage to get to a point of talking.

As always Mo, your a great guy and all that, but bloody hell, get a grip man!

I wish you all the best in sorting this out. But believe me... NOBODY ELSE WILL SORT IT FOR YOU they'll only make things worse

To summarize:
It is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.

To summarize the summary:
Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.

To summarize the summary of the summary:
People are a problem.

Fuck mo you ok? Thats bang out of order. I know its not what you prob want or need but if it was me i would physically remove him from the property myself and make sure the police were there. If they arent willing to attend a call then im sorry i would be taking matters into my own hands.

I'd make a complaint to the police if i were you as not being funny this is knife crime regardless of who has done it, its still assult using a dangerous weapon.

It's incredibly common for a police officer to attend a scene where a person has been the victim of an assault, suffered a nasty gash to the head and been stabbed in the armpit by a knife narrowly missing a main artery, to have 3 witnesses to said alleged serious criminal assault, and then threaten to lock said assaulted victim of crime up and let the person who did the crime walk away scot free.

Happens all the time, every day

He's been finally taken away this afternoon, They said as he is still a child they had to react because I had also used my fists on him. Have no interest in having him ever back home again.

Hopefully last i ever see of him.
