Isn't it marvellous. Dads' V70 2.4 petrol (140) got a little long in the tooth so he changed for a 1.8 petrol V50. Nice enough but "lacked get up and go".  So back to a V70 he goes Posted Image

Not so bad except he manages to get an 05 plate facelift SE with the D5 EuIII engine, best of both worlds. Humph Posted Image

Metallic grey, aluminium trim, fitted Volvo towbar, fitted phone kit, winter pack.....

Used the phone camera so it doesn't show mine up too much Posted Image

Just reminded me how slow the unmapped engine is, sorry pops Posted Image

Edit: and of course his is still on stilts Posted Image

Don't let your age define you. It's a number, that's all.

Nasty D5 dieseasel with few twiddly bits from TWR, MTE, IPD and Eibach but 600 miles to a tank ain't to be sniffed at :-)

I would sooner watch Robbie cycling around on his push hog wearing his finest Lycra then attending a 1/4 strip....

They look really good together.. It definately shows the subtle mods you've done to yours though,

Scott..

That's pretty much the twin of mine (05-plate EIII in grey), except mine's an oddity - a tarted up 'S', so no chrome trims or power seats, but someone added sat nav, comms, bi-xenons, leather, family pack, and so it goes on. The only other obvious difference is that mine is on 16s, but I'm not at all sad about that, given the state of the roads. I might get a set of those 17s for summer tyres...and some of the chrome trims!

cheers

James
