As suggested by RobbieH - i'm starting this thread to let people know how proud i am of my eldest, who is 11yrs old  - he's is going to be doing a sponsored walk from Hoo in Kent to the Cenotaph in London (about 35miles) on Rememberance weekend and is raising money for Help the Heroes.

I dont normally do this but i feel that Help the Heroes is a very good charity - that should anyone wish to sponsor my son, i,m sure he would be very grateful (as would i). Posted Image  Posted Image   Posted Image

Many thanks

hiya everyone

just to let everyone on here know Paul did his walk - he walked all the way (only getting in the minibus to come home) - he left home at 6.50 yesterday morning and arrived at 10.35 - unfortunately they werent near the front but he did go up to the Cenotaph with a 6th former to lay the wreath.   I am soooooo proud of him - the teachers said he was an encouragement to everyone who went. Thank you to everyone who sponsered him.  We will put some pictures up as soon as poss.

ella (one very proud parent)

£610 now, was waiting for a payment.
Well done Paul.
I can remember doing the Hill Forts walk with the Scouts, 45 miles in two days, when I was eleven and it's a slog so all credit to him.
