Went to see a mates band playing tonight. Half way through the first set, a woman interupted the show to report that a white car had been hit on the street outside. Went outside to see my rear door all knackered. Several people eyeballed the driver (and was caught on CCTV which ive seen but no reg) and know him as a regular in there. I have the last 3 letters of the reg and got his full name and area where he lives, which ive reported to the Police. Everybody claimed he'd been in there all day drinking and almost hit another vehicle when he left the car park. The Police said they would keep an eye out in case he is still driving around tonight.



Is there anything else i need to do?

Whats the score with Insurance.? I cant afford to have any claim going through my insurance as its a through our business with silly excess

/side note. anybody got a P2 N/S/R door in plod white?

Its a V70, are they the same?

Think so. It's only after the rear doors that it's stretched. But check first.

^{S60 and V70 rear doors are different unfortunatly, they are square at the top because theres no C pillar where the rear window of the s60 is

Pissed or not he hit your car so he is liable for the insurance claim. Witnesses you have so that shouldn't be a problem unless they are not going to come forward, which wouldn't surprise me since the Plod should have acted on the fact he had been seen driving and gone round to breathlise him.

I know mate, its not the first time he's done it. He's apparantly had several "other" prangs whilst being pissed. Oh BTW hes a HGV driver for a living
