Thought I'd drop in and say hello, recently picked up my first Volvo after many years of Alfa ownership I thought a change was in order so I decided on a S40 D5.

Thirsty, discreet and quick is how I'd best describe the car :)

Cheers :)

Had a 147 1.6TS which was brilliant and more recently a 156 1.9JTD which was a nightmare...

Still have a 1971 GTV and a 1982 GTV6 though, I find the older ones more reliable !!

Oh thats a very nice Bertie indeed, early step nose ? Mines a more typical standard red 2000 GTV.

GTV6 now is a different matter :)

It's a late step front. It started life as a GT Junior but has ended up with a 'tuned' 2000 GTV engine
and many many mods.

Welcome from a fellow D5 driver, I have the new V60 (11) D5 R-design Geartronic with Polestar upgrade.

I hope to chat with you in the future.

You need to get the car over to the mainland to give it some beans. Not too many long roads (and many green lanes) on Jersey.
