BC coilovers arrived yesterday, and me being me, couldn't wait to put them on, so Irf and I spent a few hours this morning sorting it all out (thanks homo).

I was very impressed with the build quality when I received the kit, but had my reservations about ride quality.

After a relatively painless few hours, it was done, and we messed around with the ride height. The rear of the car used to sit higher with the Konis, which always gave a "wedge" shaped look. I prefer a flatter look, and we managed to achieve that today (blame Irf for the crap photo):

We were a apprehensive about the ride, so set the kit to softest all round. We were quite amazed to find that it was completely acceptable, a bit like "medium" on the Konis. Tried hard, and memories of the FD2 came flooding back - perfect for track work! Because the car sits about 15-20mm lower than the Konis on their lowest setting, I now need to get my arches rolled which should be happening tomorrow Posted Image

All in all, I'm very impressed and Irf's comment kinda sums his feelings up to about his pending arrival of his XYZ coilovers: "I wish the XYZs were like this..."!

Thanks to Irf for the help, would've spent the whole day on it otherwise!

i dont ask for much just plenty of bum action please.

car needs alignment doing still but going by what i've seen so far they're fine on the softest setting for the road and make my boobs shake on the stiffest setting. i've applied cream on them so all good. ride height is sexual.

Never a truer word. Looks great Mo and sounds like they should do the business.

No problems with mine on the C70 either, not unless I want to run any lower than a 50mm drop on the rear... Posted Image

Edit: Besides, they've got a new rear seat design now anyway.

Looking good Mo, Having a full Geometry set up will definatley be worth it mate just make sure you find someone who can be arsed to do it properly. When i first fitted the Bilsteins and the polybushes I had the Saab done as a freebie by another garage in our area which has a really good Alignment/Geometry machine as they owed us a favour but sadly they didnt do a good job and the car fealt unstable at high speed so i had it re-checked/adjusted at my garage and it was miles out.

Set it all upto Viggen spec and its a different car now :) Cant wait for the Quaife next month.

that really does look the dogs danglies

are you getting contact with the archs (assuming you still havent had them rolled) or is it stiff enough that it doesnt, what about when on full lock is it contacting the inside of the wheel arch or does the T4 lump allow enough clearance and does it clear the speed humps you have to straddle?

Looks great.  I love my BC's - I have my dampers set to hard -14 front and rear hard -10 (probably means fuck all when comparing to your kit).  Ride is much comfier than the old FSD/Eibach set up and it handles really well.  I made the mistake of running it too hard for a while which felt tight but pushed hard ride and traction suffered.  A bargain from where I'm sitting.
