Tbh i dunno how ur supposed to fit that ptc without it spliting mine was split in the old pipe and if it hadnt been i dont think id have got it fitted it in the new 1, it only had a pipe coming from my catch tank on it so im not incredibly worried about it
Imo the slot for it should be on the flat not on the curve of the pipe

I agree, however the standard run of the pipe from the PCV won't allow much room to move the PTC further up the pipe - It's difficult enough to get the pipe on when it's in the curve of the pipe.
I had to enlarge the hole in the pipe as it wasn't exactly the right shape for the bush, and modify the PTC itself. I used a donor PTC, cut the flange off the bottom and removed the bush in one. Lubed it up good, put the bush in the pipe first, then reduced and chamfered the flange on my original PTC until it went in.
Still waiting for the vac connectors from Niles so that I can fit the V70R pipe, but I'll likely have to do the same.
Did you notice any extra whistling Aid? I have an annoying whistle at a certain spot in the rev range that I need to track down - I assume it's the flow over a rough section of pipe/join/connector that'll need a bit of smoothing.

dunno tbh the C70 is so noisey anyway its hard to tell if its a new noise or an old 1
i dunno how the std ptc routes tbh like i said mine has a hose running to the catch tank so it could have been mounted anywhere on the pipe, if the maf pipe had a tapping and pipe screwed in (like the other 2 pipes) could the ptc pipe be put on and jubilee clipped into place?

The reason the rubber was split on the PTC was because Mr Williams cut it last time it was removed in order to put it back in, during fitting the catch tank I think..

Lots of lube mate and gentle (violent) persuasion
A tapped connector and jubilee clip is a better solution in my opinion, though you'd lose the PTC itself. I've heard it doesn't cause any problems when disconnected, though not sure how accurate that info is. Maybe something for me in future if I can't track down this whistle.
