Suggests air leak somewhere between maf and inlet manifold, or maybe where the manifold sits on to the head.

sounds like there could be a couple of faults here... things to check...

is the TCV plumbed correctly?

Air leak test?

The cam timing shouldnt cause it to run that badly unless it is way out. there are loads of cars running round with the timing set incorrectly and the owners dont even notice! it can adapt a long way but if it is incorrect it will at some piont hit the limit of its adaption range which may cause poor running at certain revs/loads. it would have to be way out to cause all the problems you are reporting.

it defintaely sounds like an air leak although would expect the car to run rich as the maf value would indicate a larger volume of air is being consumed than there actually is. although the ecu should still be trying to achieve target AFR it aint gonna be happy put it that way

as for the car not reving with your foot on the brake it should when your not moving but when driving it wont let you accelarte and brake at the same time it will for a short peroid but then close the ETM quite fustrating when your trying to left foot brake to control wheelspin in a car with an open diff or at least thats what i recall from my P2.

break it and buy an 850 is my advise lol

Sounds like an air leak, get it VIDA read as that code ECM6806 can mean high or low IIRC, Vida will give you freeze frame data also

I'm pretty sure that code limits throttle angle to avoid destroying things

Ill have a look on the MTE software ive got on the laptop .

I dont know if you can capture live data or if gives any more info on the codes than Bens BSR unit does .

The MTE stuff seems to be the same codes as the BSR from what I can tell on mine.

I'd suggest a smoke/leak test at MRG and save the messing.

Just looked on lap top I can data log the following ;

Pedal position, engine speed, vehicle speed, engaged gear, boost pressure, Charge air temps, Air fuel Ratio

Are any of these any good to someone ?

Im not really to sure how to data log with MTE software but it seems easy enough 'start live date ' 'Capture to file ' What type of file would you capture to because I know it will ask !?!?!?

Hope this helps
