Surely I don't have to pay recovery from the scene to the forensics lab? I have no reason to believe it's not driveable, so if I just went and picked it up...?

I believe it also has a full tank of fuel...which the Police say I don't have to pay for :) Wonder if it's V-Power...Posted Image

There's a very real limit to what it's wise for me to say now, for reasons that are probably obvious....but there is some even better news than getting the car back. :D

cheers

James

Yea they can charge as its a cost incurred which they havent caused. It will all be covred by insurance though if you have to go through that route and if the theif is caught insurers can look to re-claim it through the theif although doubt they can as lets face it, theif will hardly pay up for it given the type of scum that they are!

Just a guess.

Car was still loaded with all the loot that was taken
Or
Car was parked outside the robbers house & they have all the loot and the bistad ;)

No word on the loot yet, but the police have reason to be confident that they will catch the perp.

Thanks Tez. I'll have to have a chat with you about it at some point...

On the plus side, my Dice unit turned up today :) And there should be a Mityvac in the post, too. Expensive month :(

cheers

Suspect arrested...and they've found a TV matching the description of mine. Sounds like they only did a very brief search of this property, so more may yet show up. If they can find my driving license and the three sets of keys, I'll be very happy indeed. If they find the lot, I'll be ecstatic! :)

You're right Lottie - I have £150 to pay tomorrow to get it back. Seems a bloody cheek, given that they got useful evidence out of the car (and I could have driven it away with my spare keys...), but I suppose that's the way the world is, and I'm just happy its been found in one piece.

cheers

James

Glad to hear it Foggy!

They should present the guys to you with a spreader bar attached to their feet and tied to your lounge wall for 24 hours, so you can kick them in the balls as many times as you like, and when you get tired you can sit down then kick them in the balls every time you go past or go to make a cup of tea!

I hope you get all your stuff back!

Cheers Greg

I still think being kicked it the balls all day long would be a bigger deterrent than being put in the stocks and food thrown at you!
As long as it not tomato's left in the tin it would be ok!

Do a Branson; legalise drugs, no more crime like this and when they all gorge themselves on their fix they'll wipe themselves out.

Sorry if that offends anyone.

P1 V70 driveshaft applied to the kneecaps - now that's poetic justice.

Anyone got one spare that he could borrow?
