Well not really... Faced with the prospect of a Focus, I decided to accept the Avis customer service representative's offer and 'upgrade':

Dodge Charger baby!

Honestly think it's quite ugly LOL! The arse end is quite nice though. It seems to go quite well and I guessed ~300hp, and looking at the specs, I wasn't far off! It handles surprisingly well for a big muscle car, and sounds good when you give it some.

Annoyances: it takes ten bloody steps before you actually get moving! Kick down is accompanied by a sudden lurch forwards which kinda reminds me what Irf was saying about new auto/semi-auto cars.

Not at all, I was going to say that'll be costing him a fortune to hire... But then worked out that even if it is, it's less than the depreciation on his last car, let alone the previous XYZ ones

Sorry Mo :P
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair

Looks nice is it the Hemi? Either way you need to be riding on 22" chrome rimz.

About the wheels... There is a big 300C parked up at the airfield outside my window...

Big wheels with a huge tyre profile? It just ends up making the wheels look smaller than they are. Is this a trend for US manufacturers, maybe to retain big wheels but keep the "softness" of thick tyres?

It's fooking ugly but still a million miles more interesting/different than a Focus so there's the plus side Posted Image.
Have a good time Mo.

Why they could make it more in line with the old muscles cars I never know. I mean the Challenger is lovely.
