T.M.E 2186-5M520R Exhaust

15 posts in this topic

Yup, I've got one on my S60R - it does not drone and has a lovely burble in the cabin so much so it's unmistakable that the car has a performance exhaust fitted.  From outside it is noticeably louder than the regular TME system  - I've done noise tests with both and at 4000rpm, this one is 86dB and the regular TME system is approximately 81/82dB.  In my opinion, it is the best sounding readily available exhaust for the S60R / V70R and it also fits perfectly.  This is how the car should have sounded out of the factory.  I believe Don has these in stock.

Yep, it's been on a few months now.

Initial fitment was OK, however the rear most centre  support bracket has to be either spaced out or removed as the system fouls it once warm & causes an annoying rattle.

I was also somewhat dissapointed at how quiet it was compared to a similar JT Tuning system I had fitted to my old S60 2.5T.

After a few weeks the baffles had bedded in at it now sounds truly amazing!

It is really in my opinion how the car should sounded from the factory, there is a nice subtle note when driving round & on the motorway it is not deafening at all. I've up to the top of Scotland & down the south east coast with it fitted and I can't report any issues.

Well worth the money, infact I like it that much I'm going to probably order another for my daily driver R.

They are on there, under 'Price List'

I think mine worked out at about £780ish, I honestly can't remember now.

Well worth the money in my opinion, get one ordered Thomas is a stand up guy & easy to deal with .

Oh you ordered from TME direct? I wondered if you had brought from kalmar Union as don was supposed to be stocking these when the ferrita systems had gone.

I was unable to make contact with Kalmar Union so I just contacted T.M.E direct.

I think it was a 10 day lead time 2 days for delivery, so worth the wait.
