Just thought I'd show a few pics of my car on here (some of you will already of seen it on VPCUK)
Here she is:
When she first started:
Volvo S60 T5 SE Geartronic

After sourcing some new alloys in the shape of 18" Genuine Pegs:

I then thought that I should recitfy the odd mismatched door colour, and whilst I was at it maybe colour code the whole car silver, but I still couldn't find anything other than the sport bodykit that would liven up the front end, so I opted for the 'R' bumper:

Great job done by Oliver at TMS Volvo in Hinckley. After this was on, I thought I had better do the rubbing strips and bumper parts. This porved more problemsome than I first thought as the '02 rub strips on the rear bumper and doors were of the nobbly material, and not smooth like the MY2005 ones on the 'R' bumper. So I took it to a bodyshop, Motofix in Northampton, and speaking to the bloke there he said he had done numerous Police vehicles most of them Volvo's, and had had experience of getting rid of the nobbly bits. So booked it in, and this was the result:

Then happy with the exterior, I went and started looking at the interior. I thought the standard CD changer was excellent, and the speakers first class, so didn't really want to faff around with third party mods, so after some digging, I ended up with the Volvo Phatnoise MP3 module that connects to the RTI unit. Fitting it was a breeze, (After I bought the correct wire for use with RTI!!) and I made a custom mount for the 60 as I had bought the mount and player from a guy with a V70R.

I then went about getting the dials done. I loved the look of the R dials. That blue looks amazing, so I bought a used set, and began looking at ways of making them work. I ended up following a write up I found on the internet, and the next day they were in, although I still had to buy the LED's instead of the bulbs to stop the yellow glow.

Yellow glow has now been corrected, but this was when I first installed them and still had the original bulbs in:

After this, I was pretty happy, although the car had to be RICA'd. So took it to get done, and was well happy with the result, even if I didn't get on with the garage that did it.
After this, I had the S60R rear spoiler added. Fixed on with Tigerflex, it looks subtle, but classy:

Lastly, I thought about the ride (Prob should have done that first!!!) there was a knocking sound, and it handled like a pig. So I bought up some Eibach Prokit springs, and Koni FSD shocks, and took them to D&A Autos in Witney to have them fitted along with new drop links and top mounts. Hey presto, car handles amazing, knocking is gone, and the stance is incredible:

Very lastly, I added the chrome mirror caps and the sleeker mirrors:

The only thing for me left to do, is being done today. It's not strictly a Volvo thing, and I'm hoping it will make my S60 one of the more original Volvo's around. Pics up soon
Cheers,
Tom
