The reason being, is that Russell Thompson of RT MECHANICS - Volvo Specialists is a dishonest, and disreputable trader (Who is incapable of fitting oil cooler pipes correctly) who not only charges people the earth, but also when it goes wrong, refuses to put the job right, and makes owners suffer for over 8 months whilst they take him to court (for over £5000) As part of the settlement, he then insists on confidentiality clauses to try and hide his dishonesty, shoddy behaviour and thoroughly poor work.

Hi Tim

Its a bit slow off the mark as you would imagine with such a large turbo but once all my other tweeks have been finished then it will be better ;) Did you take my advice over your turbo heat jacket ???? :pmsl:

Russ

No, I choose to have a metal cage fitted to the turbo so I could use the heat jacket, thus reducing turbo lag :pmsl: and meaning my servo (not a problem on your car :pmsl: ) would not get dangerously hot. I managed to melt the vac elbow on the servo on a previous year at the Ring with a remap alone so wanted to make sure the brakes worked on every lap this year.

A small supercharger mounted in place of your power steering pump or AC would reduce your lag and the PAS could be powered by an electric pump, no lag and 500+ BHP. Now that would interest me :pmsl: .

Good luck with reducing the lag, my crystal ball sees a small compressor housing on the horizion...

Hi Tim

It would be far better to make a decent heat sheild for your servo rather than kill your turbo AGAIN ;) Have you not heard of a remote servo :pmsl:

Me too :pmsl:

Rest assured the turbo is staying exactly as my spec is now   B)  :D

It makes a nice noise.  Hope you're going to honour that promise of a demonstration when it's on the road again!
