James, in your first post about a meet you mention "we" and "one of the guys"....is it a group of volvo people that all live close by or something? Thats what i dont understand...

It would be great to do a meet though.....any local volvo event is good!

To summarize:
It is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.

To summarize the summary:
Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.

To summarize the summary of the summary:
People are a problem.

I bet you guys didn't get a flyover by a Lancater bomber like we did at the T5D5 Birthday bash.

Yeah, there are quite a lot of Volvo people in Lincolnshire...and in Lincoln itself in particular. Three of the most active people in RWD Volvo tuning are based in Lincoln, along with a few 'hangers on' with works in progress, etc. That's obviously not a lot of people, but it's quite a gaggle by UK standards, where there are perhaps 15-20 people active on the scene, and probably less than 10 actually getting down and doing 'interesting' things.

Modified RWD scene cars based in Lincoln include a Volvo-powered kit car, a 16v Turbo 940 sprint/hillclimb car, Ryan's 740 Turbo ('fast road' trim, with...well...276bhp at the last measure, but a lot more to come once it actually runs properly!), my two 300 series projects, a T-Gul yellow (T5-R colour) 262c, a 740 16v Turbo under construction (modelled on the black Hedburg car in the infamous youtube video), and a S90 with a T6 swap...again a work in progress. Most of those cars spend a lot of their time in bits, but once you get past a certain point and your resources are limited, that's the way it goes. It's all part of the fun when you're DIY-ing...and why we don't just pack it in and buy M3s.

cheers

James
