well ive had the car 1 week tomorrow so far so good!

since it wasnt raining i decided to pop upto my uncles this afternoon, borrow his hosepipe and give the car its first bath.

ive done a few hundred miles in the car so far and i must say im very impressed, its very easy to live as a daily driver with and even with all the mods it still feels smooth and comfortable, even speedbumps are no problem!

heres the spec and a few pics i took today...

Why dont you just get those wheels painted it will be cheaper than replacing them.

Back in the glory days (?) adam evidently custom mapped my rica for my 19T but as we all know it was nowhere near marco's ability. Dont think afr's were ever checked which is why tony wants to know if your still on orange injectors as you need to change /upgrade them or risk running lean..and we all know the disasterous outcome of that.. p.s car looks great, anthracite wheels would look well cool and please debadge... :D

Rica do do do do do do (sorry) custom maps, you would have to visit the land of the clog then it can be done by Rouel junior nowadays. Im lead to believe that if you want a better map then get Rouel senior to do one for you as he has some attention to detail. The old maps were done by senior his maths was no good, he added 15% to the figures but he got them close unlike the modern stuff they use on the PPC, just look at some of the AFR's they send out. Joules or Ben should be able to post up a graph of a brand new Focus ST I had done, it was not a development one they have its the final product.

Tony you can run almost any size injectors with any turbo... Whether its suitable or within the design limits of the injectors is another matter. If you want any kind of consistent power that is safe for the injectors (and engine) it is impossible to run orange injectors at standard fuel pressure with a 19T generating high boost and high power levels.

I see what you are saying Ted but surely if you was to run standard Orange injectors with the 19t then the true potention of the turbo will be compermised(volvo fitted green injectors with the 19t)
ie The ECU will see the engine running lean and pull the ignition thus meaning the 19t wont be any better then say the standard 15g :D

hi tony, my original 19T with custom remap ?? was with the orange injectors and i'll always remember being told there was a slight fuelling problem, my swap to whites was my/forum info choice and always glad i changed but never noticed any real performance difference (i need a proper remap, plus got to get your cams and other stuff done before remap).

The true potential of the turbo will be severely limited with orange injectors in my experience, I would fit Blues as a min but I like to be safe so would prefer Greens or similar.

If you think back your Rica map was for orange injectors but your ECU was not able to achieve safe AFR's at WOT so they were changed from 310 Orange to 398 blues and now your fueling is correct at all times the economy is unchanged but the ignition timing is not being pulled to try and save the engine from detention and that with a 15G. The problem would be compounded by fitting a 19T.

This link might help to work out what size injector is suitable http://www.rceng.com...RL5DhoCbiZnQVbk

tbh whites arnt that much different to the orange ones(was going to say orange's)and like Tim has pointed out after fitting my Innovate I found my 850 was running at best around 16 on WOT which is bad very bad :( so after seeking Tim's advice he replaced them for blue injectors and all is well now and the car is running as it should with out compromise
So my advice is replace your white's for a minimum Blue aor go the full hog and fit the green injectors.I would also recomend fitting a AFR monitoring gauge(peace of mind is the new black)

I have just crunched to numbers on orange injectors thats if they are flowing 100% there quoted delivery. To safely get 330BHP on a T5 you would have to have them open 146% of the time... Interesting :(

what bhp is possible out of orange injectors at 100% Tim? not ideal but probably quite common.

im not sure where this thread is going or has already gone but the 19t and custom mapping were only done last year, i have no idea what colour injectors are fitted (id pressume the standard ones for that engine)

Between 226 and 244 but you could get more if you were to lean the mixture to a less safe level.
