constructive criticism always welcome. i personally think that most of the volvo forum members are a lot more restrained/conservative then i am but well, let me know what you think :flame:

started with it like this, was always a temporary thing.

now like this, needs a bit of tidying up to get the wires a bit more hidden but much much better in terms of being in the sightline. very happy with it ;)

i did tez, just a bit typical for me :flame: . don't get me wrong, i would have done that as the gauges needed to be mounted properly but once i saw this, i had to do it.

same view as if it had a pillar pod but just a lot less cluttered and looks (imho) bloody good!

chris, i spoke to Tim today about your car, all he kept saying was "it's fooked, it's fooked" ;)

I hope you keep taking it to your usual MOT station as they are blind so shouldn't notice they are over the allowable size in the swept area of the wipers :flame:

Looking good there irf.

I`m looking at making a plate to go in place of the two vents in the middle of the dash, as we never use them ,and fit VDO Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and Boost Gauges - watch this space!!

Anyone have a spare centre vents bit for a V70 floating about for me to play with ?????

when i was blanking off my dashboard i did the same sort of thing & extend it over the air vents, i've also blanked off the second vent by the drivers window ready for something (just need some more carbon fibre to finish it properly)

I did actually check up a bit futher on that, it seems to be a very grey area, how I understand it, and from what local MOT tester said - 145mm either side of steering wheel is a deffo faliure, anything else exc tax disc parking permits, dizzy stickers and mirrors within swept area, are technically a faliure, but may be 'justified'

Not a fan of that setup im afraid irf. Would look much better with a twin gauge pod same as tez suggested.

When i get an innovate afr gauge it will definitely go in a pod on the a pillar, havent seen one that i like for the x70 cars yet though.
