Hello all, following on from the success of the meet earlier this  summer at MRG in Chippenham, and the current financial climate which  inevitably means we all need to be that little bit more careful, they  have very kindly offered to extend an exceptional deal to all forum  members on both parts and servicing.  As those present at the meet in  July will confirm, MRG have not only demonstrated that they are at the  very top of their game in terms of their expertise, but also offer  fantastic aftersales customer support, and I am very grateful that they  have agreed to continue to offer substantial discounts on parts,  general servicing and other related work.  Parts discounts will vary  depending on the item (as a general rule of thumb, more commonly used  service items will attract a larger discount) and should any forum  member be willing to make the journey down to them, they will offer you  the very best deal they can in terms of both parts and labour, for any  work you wish for them to undertake (general servicing or otherwise).

For all parts related enquiries, please call MRG on 01249 656058 and ask to speak to Gary.  Parts can either be collected  from their premises, delivered to you for a nominal charge, or  alternatively if I am personally able to attend any forum meets, I will  gladly bring along items which have been pre-ordered and paid for, to  save on postage costs.  If anyone has any questions or would like a  quote for any servicing related work, please call MRG on 01249 443300  (option 1) and
ask  to speak to Simon, the service manager at MRG.  In all instances, please do  remember to mention that you have been referred on from the forum.

I hope that you will be able to take up this very generous offer and  show MRG the very same support which they have very kindly extended to  us on this forum.

I would just like to add that MRG recently replaced the turbo on my D5 for considerably less than my usual Independent Volvo specialist quoted.  Job was done in a day with no drama and they even washed my car!!  Worth giving them a call for a quote if you need work doing.

A deal not to be sniffed at....

Pinned in the announcements section for all to see.

To summarize:
It is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.

To summarize the summary:
Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.

To summarize the summary of the summary:
People are a problem.

Don't forget to take your own food! When I went the other week there was no buffet, do they only do those on Saturdays?

Your car should be like new when you leave as I saw them trying their F1 servicing, 4 Tecs to change the discs and pads. If your there all day you should be able to have a reshell

Dyno Meet At Powerstation on 22nd Nov 2008

Given this will be the first large scale meet I will be definitely attending, if anyone wants to take advantage of the offer MRG have extended on parts, I will gladly bring any prepaid items up with me and you can collect it on the day.  If you're interested, please contact Gary at the parts department at MRG to arrange for the order and payment.

I have experienced the pleasure of dealing with the guys at MRG recently. Took my R there for them to pressure test my intake system and find the air leaks that were flagging up codes. They had the car for a week and have done such a fantastic job at a very good price. I would highly recommend them. My sincere thanks to all the team there.

Also, huge thanks to Ashok who took time out of his day to regularly visit them while my car was there to prove out components were good/bad by swapping them out with the similar ones on his S60R. What a gent for doing all this.

Simon the service manager also sent me a new MAF sensor which he managed to replace under the parts warranty that Volvo give as my previous MAF was failing despite being only 3 months old. Have just also ordered a new top engine mount from them and they are sending this to me and at a VERY good price. All in all a superb experience for me.

Thanks again Guys.

Ian, glad to hear that MRG found your car's air leaks and that you're pleased with the result. On the MRG open day in the Summer I took advantage of their excellent hourly rate that they offered on their open day and asked them to fit my new Ferrita downpipe to My R, change the auxiliary belt and re-gas the air conditioning. I returned a while later to have an electronic boost gauge and controller fitted and was impressed with the attention to detail that the tech who was working on my car had (he explained what he was doing and was particularly helpful in explaining the possibilities of fitting the gauge and controller in the car). I returned last weekend to have my V70 serviced. Simon the service manager has been particularly helpful, knowledgeable and understanding of the particular needs of us the fickle performance car enthusiast! - in my view he represents everything that MRG is.

Hi guys and dolls, i,d just like to add my penny,s worth....
I was introduced to Tony @ MRG last month when i attended the open day. To cut along story short, my V40 T4 had not been performing properly and both Tony and Ashok soon discovered that my actuator was faulty. Now, up until then i had been using my local dealership (Kings) and have been less than impressed by their level of service. Why is it that two main dealers can be as different as "chaulk and cheese"? You have one that leaves you wondering why you bothered at all to use a main dealer and another that has just bent over backwards to help. MRG have gone out of their way to help me with my car and for me personaly they have restored my faith in using a main dealer.
I have nothing but praise for Tony and the guys @ Mrg and for those of you who have not yet had any dealings with them, to do so as i,m sure you wont be dissapointed! Keep up the good work guys....

Really pleased to hear that MRG have sorted your car and that you're back to enjoying the performance which a T4 has to offer.  Please do continue to participate on the forum because there will undoubtedly be more meets and we T4 guys need to show the T5 guys that they made the wrong choice!!!
