what have you done with the pipes that connect to the induction pipe near the turbo?

EDIT. just noticed, what have you covered your inlet manifold with? looks good.

When the pic was taken, the engine only had about 200 miles on it..  So I left timing belt cover off to check for leaks around the water pump.

Ah yes, forgot you bent a few rods and you built an engine up. Hows the new engine doing? What break in procedure did you use?

Engine is great.  I stayed out of boost for the 500 miles then ran it at 10psi until 1200 miles.  Did first oil change after first startup, 2nd after temps brought up, 3rd after 100 miles, 4th after 500 miles, 5th after 1200 miles. B)

Cool pics mate a very nice looking motor, but are you sure about the ability of those retaining bolts on the front strut camber adjusters (I can see there should be 6 each side) as they only look like mild steel 1/4" / 8 mm?

Cheers

yup.  The extra holes you see are to allow for further adjustment of the camber.  To push the camber full - or +, you have to move the retaining screws to a new hole on the plate.  Many camber plates are similarly designed this way.

Hi Greg, I understand how they work B) I just thought the retaining bolts looked a bit under engineered for such a heavy car and the loadings they may encounter, when compared to others (see pics). But if your happy no worries mate :)

Don't let your age define you. It's a number, that's all.

Nasty D5 dieseasel with few twiddly bits from TWR, MTE, IPD and Eibach but 600 miles to a tank ain't to be sniffed at :-)
