This second one should appeal to the Volvo driver who likes a bit of performance and a drift
Happy viewing makes mine seem a bit tame.

I like this one - it's taught me heel and toe braking. I've never tried it and let's be honest there's not much need on my daily commute. Anybody else have sufficient coordination to do that?

I find it's actually easier to heel and toe when you're going all out on track as you dont have to give the revs much thought, you just rev it hard!

Will try it then. My Combe driving felt a bit 'stamp-chuck-stamp' so would like to get smoother. I really need to get a few laps with an instructor next year and be a passenger with somebody who has some skill. I did find myself 'trail braking' but more because I was shitting myself that it was all too fast than I knew what I was doing.

Its hilarious that the first thing he says after getting out of the car is not complimentary to the car in any way but "I need a cigarette"!!!

Don't worry Huw, next year, I'm arranging to have more instructors for the event so there should be plenty of time to collar one of them and get them to teach you the lines. My advice would be to do it early on in the day, get some "practice" in and then get the same instructor out again in the afternoon to "fine tune" the lines.

Alternatively since it makes no difference whether you press the clutch or not just do what we did with the Eaton Twin Splitter boxes.
Pull away with the clutch and then forget about it, bugger the rev matching up then it makes no difference whether you double D or not
