I had a chat with a local Traffic Bobby last night ( he had the White flat cap with the White / Silver band around the front of the black skip ) so id presume quite a high up officer as none of the others had it.

It was one of them roadside test / check areas and about 5:30pm so it was dark, they had nothing to say on the HID lights i have, i even asked him if they were illegal and he said they look ok.

They were more concerned about the limo tint on the windows, although its not on the front doors, only rear doors back.

i dont think imho that they know the exact law on them nor do vosa or the m.o.t stations, i also know that mine has 3 sensors and motors for the HID`s self leveling 2 on the front as said and also 1 on the rear ( which i forgot about lol)

I think this whole topic has been done to death, HID's are, APPARENTLY, technically illegal but have a status of de facto legality in as much as nobody will enforce the statute stating that they are not legally acceptable vehicle lighting just as no-one enforces the statute that states London Hackney Carriages (taxis/cabs) must carry a bale of hay and a sack of oats.

Agreed.

Fit them if you want to, don't fit them if you don't want to.

Well guys I had hid's in the last car audi s4 and never got pulled or it never failed an mot. The main reason i bought and fitted them was to give every other bugger that had  them and blinded me with them i could give them all a bloody good suntan then i had main beam and it looked like they had holidayed on mercury for a year.

ideally you shouldnt fit h7 bulbs in a lense without projectors

if you have to then fit h7r as these reduce the glare alot!

erm double negative there mate, it makes it hard to understand/read lol....
....if you have projectors then use H7, if you dont have projectors then use H7R's or...if you have projectors, use bulbs without a reflector...if you dont then use bulbs with a reflector on it
