Following on from this thread: http://forums.t5d5.org/index.php?s=&sh...st&p=104248 I've also run some figures off from my D5 and there seems interest from other members in this very topic. So as a start I've started a table using Google Docs.

For reasons of keeping this to registered forum members I've started it in the showroom section as I think I'm right in saying that you have to be registered to gain access to this section. If the mods feel otherwise feel free to amend or move this thread. Worth making sticky or pinning it?

At the moment I've left the Google sheet open to all via the login in the attached text file (away from spambots, etc) so I hope it's used sensibly.

Over to the members :)

------------------------------------------

please use google docs to add your stats, (or list them on this thread, for Robbie or someone to add them, I will try and keep uptodate image on this post of stats, rather than people keep opening to see whats been added

thanks Ben

Well said sir. No bias in this thread what so ever, honest ;) .

We'll just start a separate thread if we feel the need to extract the water by-product :P

OK... How are you doing the in-gear times?

Are you holding the starting speed, then saying "GO!" or are you getting on-boost at a lower speed and starting the clock as you pass the mark?

One will read MUCH faster than the other.......

BTW I DAREN'T tell you mine...

To summarize the summary of the summary:
People are a problem.

Well, just been out to make sure my SoftLoader is working properly :D

Traffic about, hence why the 3 runs all fell just shy of 100

Run 1 60-93mph, 3rd gear, starting from a constant 60mph 5.608secs
Run 2 60-93mph, 3rd gear, started from 57mph and accelerated, 5,447secs
Run 3 60-96mph, 3rd gear, started from constant 59mph, 6.775secs

Car is MTE stage 1, 470cc injectors, JR panel filter. Timed using a laptop hooked upto OBDII with MTE softloader. I'll have a play with some more stuff later/tomorrow hopefully.

If I've done this right, this should be a linky to the datalog file for the 3 runs (I've chopped out all extra stuff from before and after the runs).

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/898163/MTE%20Da...5%20chopped.xls

EDIT: Having looked at the durty diesel figures, do I have to do this again in 4th? Or is that just because they can't do it in 3rd..... :P

The in gear times were done by holding the starting speed then as soon as the go pedal was pressed starting the time. It would be interesting to do the 60-100 by starting accelerating at 55 then the watch at 60 and see the difference

Don`t worry you`ll be accurate enough for this :D As long as you or you co driver can press the start button when you say go and stop when you say stop it`s near enough B)

If you have a smartphone and a decent GPS receiver (a 5 Hz unit is preferred) you can download racechrono for free. It's quite neat. http://www.racechrono.com/

Couldnt tell you what gears it was in as my 855 T5 is Auto but it done 60 - 100 in just under 10 secs, thats in sports mode and started accelerating at 55mph.

Just the HLM 304 and Pipercross panel filter.

My mate video'd it on his i phone but it wont connect to my LG to blue tooth it over :(

Is that a good time, i dont know, it feels bloody quick :D

Just remembered, it doesnt go into Top gear until 110 ish, so i assume it was 2nd and 3rd gears as it changed up about 80.
