Huge thanks to Tim and Ashok for their guidance and support in getting the T4 to where it is today. It's now pretty much where I want it, and in theory, I should just be able to enjoy it now without worrying about things blowing up! And no, that doesn't mean it's time to sell it!

Here's a taste of how it performs at the moment, done on a private road of course :) Speedo is accurate to 1mph.

Just for Engineer (and because I can't keep away from this thread).

3 runs 60-120 (couldn't accurately time 62-124).  15c, full tank, just me, nothing stripped, dying for a poo and clutch slipping on upchange...10.5 seconds average.
I think I'm happy with that - obviously slower than JC but I believe that car is stripped, has a big intercooler, flowed head and of course a decent sized Garrett.

Wow, my speedo is REALLY bad.  Just datalogged 100-100kmh a few times (softloader logs canbus data is spot on with my GPS) and got 12.4 secs average.  That is a huge come down from 10.5 secs quoted above but 62-124 mph GPS is 70-135 mph on my speedo so I guess no surprise really.  I upchanged at 6000 rpm and the "through gears" 60-100 mph is 6.3 secs which I am pleased with.  I still can't get below 5.6 secs with a 3rd gear only pull.  12.4 secs is same as an E46 M3 which I guess is pretty quick.  IAT's <20C and boost peaking at 1.35 bar.

Anybody else got a 100-200kmh to share?

Not that I'm competitive or anything but I suggest "calibrating" your speedos with GPS (mobile phone, etc) for meaningful comparison as mine takes the piss.

Hold on, let me check my video collection...(no, not the porn collection)

Edit: 60-124mph, 9.9 seconds one video and 10.1 seconds the other. So say a nice round 10 Posted Image My speedo over reads by approx 1mph up to about 140mph (verified with gps).

Thanks Mo - that's very quick.  It really has all come together nicely with that T4 hasn't it.  There's a chap on VPC asking about tuning a T4 and I mentioned yours.  Is it an MTE stage 2 map?

Thanks Huw Posted Image The car is lovely, just got back from a 200mile round trip and was effortless on the motorway.

It's not without its problems though; one second-hand KKK has already been replaced and I have a feeling that the current (second hand but rebuilt) one on the car may be starting to smoke a little. If it is, I may have to shell out for a brand new one to the tune of £900! Apart from that the car is spot on and Tim and I both think that the KKK is a very good sized turbo for the 2.0 4-pot - I can easily hold 1.5bar to over 7000RPM.

Put 2 tyres on it today too - the RS2s that were on were spinning up in 4th!!

Edit: just replied to the thread on vpcuk LOL. No probs mentioning my car, happy to talk to people about it. The map is custom MTE map originally developed by Marco on another T4.

Yes, Tim did say it just keeps pulling.  Thats a healthy amount of boost at 7000 rpm!

Just did another 60-100. Slightly up-hill, damp, but with far far grippier tyres on the front, so little/no traction issues. On Windows Movie Maker, I've timed it to be 4.92 seconds! Posted Image
