s60 2.0t damaged engine, conversion?

2001 77k fsh s60 2.0t suspect oil pump problem and shells worn, crank dont look too good either,

2.3 or even 2.4 t5 engine? on 2.0t ecu and remapped with uprated fuel pump etc? would/could it work? car owes little and i really do want to experiment with it

after the massive failiure of my 854 L reg turbo a few years ago i wanted another t5, bought a 02 v70 t5 expolice but felt too civalised errr if that makes sense? so sold it as it just wasent quite what i wanted.

So now after manic bidding on ebay, one popped up near enough to be fetched back easily.

it had just been listed but secured a deal on the fact the clutch slipped in 4th an 5th, not noticed this but think this was due to the tuning (ish) that had been done, car was running 1.7 bar apparently but is now at 1.1 bar, suspect this will need winding back a little more? via MBC and what appears to be a rica mapped ecu. im surprised the rods are not bent and pistons not melted considering its on orange injectors and im suspecting standard turbo.

just looses traction far to easily on the fronts lol, going to have to sort it.

believe its regent red or somthing?

anyways will get pics in morning forgot earlyer and its too dark now even with flash

although for now a pic ripped off the add.

custom exhaust questions

thinking of just buying a whole load of stainless pipe and mandrel bends and doing my exhaust from cat back myself, either making a de cat pipe myself or keeping the cat.

just want to know, as im thinking of doing it straight through with one silencer box at the rear, possibly having a straight through silencer in the middle not sure yet, well should i go 2.5" piping or 3"?

would just like to say thank you to mikey for coming and reading the codes off my car the other day, and to Fletch for selling me two coilpacks and for how quickly he got them sent out, they arrived today and my car now drives perfectly :dance:

no longer do i have to ring its neck to get it to move without missfiring.

happy days. cheers guys B)

any things i can do to improve the power on my car before having a remap, id quite like to upgrade what i can before i go down the remap path so i can have it mapped to what is on the car,

my first thing will be differant exhaust as my center section looks old, so been looking at a few exhaust options but dont know what is best for the money etc,

worth getting some differant injectors and having them cleaned or just get the ones from the car cleaned?

worth porting my exhaust manifold?

what turbo are fitted to these, worthwhile picking somthing else up or sticking with what i have.

anything else that can be improved aswell?
