We have a SanDisk "GB card, unused but purchased too long ago to return, which will not work. It is not recognised in any device. No light comes on as per usual when it is in the SD reader on the laptop. It isnt a HD version.
Is there anything I can do or is it fecked? I appreciate these things are mass produced and are only batch checked.
Thanks in advance.

Long term thinking here... Wanting to have something with a bit of poke as standard (to keep insurance down) and if I dont have to commute to work I will be able to afford a petrol.
If I were to get a V70R should I disregard the auto's? What are the geartronics like? Iv'e only ever driven manuals. Can the auto be "kicked down" when required? How responsive are they. I'm very unlikely to track it, just a bit of spirited driving like most of us.
Thoughts please.

In short, the BT cable comes into the house into the living room. I want the wireless router elsewhere as it should be higher and more central to the house for the laptops. The house will be hardwire networked for Xbox, PC's and TV's.
What is the best cable to get from the BT master socket to the router? Obviously I don't want to use shit DIY extension cable. Should I use a cat5 cable and crimp BT ends on it?
Anyone using Plus net? I've had one good recommendation so far. They are comparable for anytime calls and decent Broadband for the Xbox to what we are currently paying. I like that there is the rolling one month contract option. Shitscally and talk talk can take a flying jump...
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Poor mobile signal strength.

The new house is in a weak area of mobile signal strength and I'm thinking about some options. We are on orange/T-mobile and wont be changing networks so that makes the likes of vodafone's sure signal not an option.
There is the Orange UMA handset option but don't really want to fork out for a new handset. Do the the passive repeaters work? I like the idea as it will give all of the available mobile signals a helping hand into the house. I will get up onto a ladder to see if there is a strong enough signal on the roof to see if this is viable.
Has anyone used a signal booster?
(I know we are not supposed to use them.)
Thoughts and comments welcome, sensible or otherwise... Thanks.
