It's that attitude that gets us nowhere.

"It didn't work before, so why bother?".

How's the view from your sanctimonious high ground? Try thinking through my entire post before launching into a dismissive comment.

What was tried previously cannot work this time because of the changes that were made to public order laws. Until someone comes up with a different, effective, not likely to give people a criminal record line of attack then people will not sign up.  People repeatedly pushing a poorly thought out idea without recognising the flaws in it are not worth the effort to debate with. On that note, I'm out of here.

Because many of us have signed up to it before, several years ago, and it made the grand total of fuck all difference. All it did was cause the then government to introduce some new public order laws which now make it easier for any protest to be blocked/broken-up.

I'm guessing my own view, "recession? What recession?" isn't normal then?  To be brutal, MrsH & I are considerably better off now then 3-4 years ago.  We've been lucky I guess, tax changes have had pretty much nil effect on us as we have no kids and I was already well into 40% tax, we don't have a mortgage and we've both continued to receive pay rises which have more than offset VAT increases etc.

I recognise that many other people have been affected, especially because of redundancy etc, but I really don't think the media have done anyone any favours with the piss poor attention grabber stories they've run.

It also depends which version of the T5 engine you're working with.
